You’re invited to the first annual “Alberta’s Birthday Celebration”! Join the fun hosted by the Ranche at Fish Creek Restoration Society. The event takes place on September 1 from 5:00-8:00 at The Ranche at Fish Creek. The birthday bash celebrates Alberta’s 110th Birthday and the 20th Anniversary of The Ranche at Fish Creek Restoration Society!
The festivities include a re-Enactment of the September 1st, 1905 Inauguration event (which is when Alberta became a province!) You won’t want to miss the replica of the famous Senator Patrick Burns cake. To make the replica even more authentic, the birthday cake will be baked by the wonderful pastry chefs from the historic Fairmont Palliser Hotel – the same hotel that baked the original cake in 1931! There will be entertainment galore, including a parade down the Ranche Promenade, led by The Kings Own Calgary Regiment Marching Band. The 2015 Alberta Youth History Award will also be presented that evening.

The Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant will also be featuring a special Alberta Birthday Dinner on September 1. Reservations are recommended – call 403-476-1310 to reserve a spot.
