Calgary’s First Bike Skills Park
The Fish Creek Mountain Bike Skills Park is coming this summer after construction was delayed last year due to the flood. Located in the Burnsmead area south of Deer Run and east of Bow Bottom Trail, this family focussed park provides all riders, the opportunity to improve their off-road cycling skills in a safe and controlled environment.
The park will be developed in three stages starting with the Beginner Area, which will include small jumps and a pump track. Once open, admission will be free. The park will be open during normal park hours.
There are three primary partners behind this project. The Alberta Government is donating the land while the Friends of Fish Creek Provincial Park and the Calgary Mountain Bike Alliance will recruit volunteers, raise funds, source materials and oversee the construction and maintenance of the park.
